The Navigation Course
The fun navigation competition is set up by placing buoys in the water creating a course of gates and turns. All the ships that participate have to perform the exact same course. They all have to perform the same maneuvers. The total amount of actual commands, left-right rudder, rudder amidships, speed adjustments, all stop commands, should be the same and are counted by the official. The ending point is a small floating wooden dock with a empty shell casing standing on it’s end. The pilot must dock, as the last maneuver without knocking over the shell. It was great fun for all that participated and participation stickers, (for the ship stand), Plaques and prizes were awarded.
