Club member, Bob Muller is just about to complete and turn over to her owner, this 9 and a half-foot beauty, “BIG MO”, as the ship appeared after 1945!
Bob gets pleasure from a custom building service of fantastic R/C ship models. Over the past four years he has put together this BIG MO for a customer who really appreciates his fine work. Bob started this “MO” with a 1:96 hull from, “Warships hulls”. After allot of reinforcing to make her ready for R/C, 12 volt Super Pittman motors were placed and made ready. The decks are made up of individual planks and black bondo, sanded off to complete the effect. Bob thinks he has 160 hours in the deck. The ship also displays LED lights, photo-etch parts and rotating turrets. Weighing in at 110 pounds, 9’6” long X 13.5” at the beam she is quite a prize! Well-done Bob!
